Summer Produce Guide

Shopping with the seasons can help you save money on produce while staying healthy. Eating locally grown produce may even provide you with the most nutrients. Registered Dietitian Nutritionists recommend eating 5 -7 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Keep in mind that some fruits are high in sugar, so watch the portion size carefully.

These fruits and vegetables can be found during the summer months:

Apricots

Avocados

Beets

Bell Peppers

Blueberries

Cucumbers

Eggplant

Garlic

Kiwifruit

Lima Beans

Okra

Plums

Strawberries

Tomatoes

Watermelon

Have a favorite recipe for any of these summer fruits and vegetables? We would love to hear it! Tell us about it in the comment section below.
